How To Get Rich?
Getting rich is about getting the fundamentals right, now I know this sounds rather disappointing!
I am a firm believer that we need to get ourselves educated on finance related matters as young as possible. The reason is simple, while being young usually means you do not have much money, but time is on your side -you have plenty of time to accumulate wealth. That is why it is crucial for one to gain a good understanding about concept of money as early as possible.
For the finance novice, try this cult status personal finance book “The Richest Man in Babylon”. This is a slim book that one could easily finish reading in 1-2 hours time.
This is a very old book, it was written by businessman George Clason in 1920s. The writing is well, old fashion but surprisingly, easily comprehensible. Despite its old age, this book has an evergreen appeal and among others, tells it stories in a compelling fashion.
This book doesn’t talk about stock, mutual funds and other exotic investment products. Instead it touches rather very basic financial concepts that you may already familiar with or heard about. Yet these “oh, I-already-heard-that-before” concepts are so important and the only way to really learn about these, is to read the book yourself, rather then telling you’re here.
